francisco for all san franciscos to enjoy. these projects as the mayor and monique said are made possible by the parks bond. four years ago it was approved by 72% of city voters and allowed us to address more than a billion dollars worth of deferred maintenance needs in our parks and to cultivate what once was an industrial waterfront into something such much more spectacular and if you have been around town you have seen all of the fantastic changes happening to the park and the new recreation center in chinatown, new play grounds and athletic fields and one of the special projects at mission play ground around 24th and valencia. yesterday we had the great pleasure of cutting a ribbon in the richmond. here in district ten there is a park renaissance. we are seeing incredible things happening thanks to the parks bond and we have a new play ground at mclaren park and new restrooms at bay view hill top and mclaren and the improvements here. since 2010 the port has been an incredible partnership and promoting our youth stewardshi

tidf is a critical funding of san francisco. it recognizes when real estate occurs that exacerbates that puts traffic and strain on muni the developer should pay an impact fee that supports transit. we've always imposed that fee on for-profit enterprises but unlike other development fees we provided blanket exemptions to nonprofits like hospitals, university camposes, major museums and large private schools. no matter what their impact, they don't pay any of the fee. right now, as a small business builds a new building, depending on the size it pays, if a high school or private does so and generates more traffic it pays nothing. the update acknowledges a transit fee is not wander for each and -- warranted for each and every -- by way of contact as i think you know our public transportation system in it san francisco is dramatically underfunded. we have 420 million in the deferred vehicle maintenance, vehicles break down, we don't have any spare light rail vehicles. seemingly unending signal and switch failures. muni riders see t

we serve to the indian community, which is a huge, huge population now in san francisco. and we serve them vegetarian and vegan which is a stricter diet, i guess. and we actually prepare the food fresh. so nothing is deep fried or made that was frozen and reserved. so it will take a little more effort on our part to actually produce this food and it will take a while to deliver and take a while to sit and seat the meal as well. so it is a little bit different than the restaurants around the corner from us. so it happens and that we are in a strange situation where we actually have four 24/7 restaurants half a block away from us. i actually drew a map in the back and so you could go to slide six or seven and a map that shows that we are next to the cafe, and jack in the box at 24/7 and cafination and a diner. by, or most of the time, this restaurant is a very quiet, family, with children running around, that kind of a place. unfortunately, we are also some what have to be on the weekends between the hours of 2:00 to 4:00 a crowd that comes out of clubs and ambassadors and
